2018 Willow Creek Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon
2018 produced, in relative terms, a good cabernet sauvignon crop for Willow Creek Vineyard, harvesting 3.2T per hectare. The very mild growing season meant it had even, long ripening time with cabernet sauvignon perfectly ripe on April 12th. This is the last vintage of the Willow Creek Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, and we believe one of the finest we’ve ever made – it’s going out on top of its game.
The fruit was hand harvested, 100% destemmed and fermented with indigenous yeasts in small open fermenters with daily gentle hand plunging for three weeks. 15 months in 225L French oak barrels, 25% new.
