2018 Rare Hare Shiraz Grenache

2018 Rare Hare Shiraz Grenache

The Shiraz was harvested from the famed Malakoff Vineyard in the Victorian Pyrenees region, and around 25% was fermented as whole bunches, with the balance destemmed and then the two batches pressed together after three weeks total maceration. The Grenache was sourced from the Mitchelton Vineyard in Nagambie and was entirely destemmed. The wines were aged in French oak, around 10% of which were new, and bottled after 9 months in barrel in early 2019.
